I was trying to create a process in which unique images and formal compositions can be created in a simple, self-referential manner. Super Copies came about from the act of transforming an image through copying itself. Tracing, scanning, photographing, transferring images from one medium to another… All act to create disparate objects that evoke a sense of familiarity. I see it as a game of telephone in physical form, where each object acts as an iterative marker until the next whisper in the ear.
